a good looking red?
Im searching for new red. This is the 2nd Vr fd that i have own that had poor paint. I really like the House of Colors: candy apple red but that not practical for a daily driven street car. I have asked this question before and all i got was " get ferrari red" I dont see any red ferrari here so i dont have a clue what it looks like in "person".
Anybody have any reds in mine? If I have to i will drive a distance just to check out the ferrari What other nice reds are they? Also has anybody ever had there car painted pure red" right out of the can" I here that its bright.

There's a pretty nice looking Porsche red color ... I wanna say it's called Guard Red, or something like that. Looks really good on curvy cars.
Also, surprisingly, Ford has a good looking red color that only came on '94s and '98s (I think). It's called Laser Red. I just bought a '94 Lightning with this color, and I think it would look really good on an FD too.
Hope that gives you something to start with.

I think the original Vintage Red is a great color.
If you have "poor" paint on it currently, I would think a good paint and body shop could prep your car and re-spray it with VR and that would fix the problem. Much cheaper than a color change (if you do it properly, ie door jams and engine compartment), and it would look like new.
Although, that 99+ red FD is stunning!

The car I have I have now has been repainted and somebody did **** poor job. Im the only person that isnt happy with it, everybody says that it looks ok, not me. I have some paint chips in certain places, im sure if they painted over it, it would still chip.

I asked steve about the color the other day when I talk to him and he told me it was candy apple red(the same thats on kenny chan's supra at jotec performance in Garlin Tx) '
The Lazer red is a 3 stage process just like the kandy paints so it maybe the same not sure.
Also i have dicided to go with the good old fashion stock VR baby. From all the reds that I see the VR looks the best.

Maybe the clear coat is diffrent in the 99+ Red. I wonder if someone in japan could step in here and clarify what the diffrence is. That 99+ Sure does look beautiful though.
