I'm a big believer in Alpine... My rents have a toyota 4 runner and a hilux 4wd pickup in jamaica...The roads there are utter ****....Things never skip...Well, unless you actually hit a bump or pothole that makes all 4 wheels come off the ground. The Alpine 6 disk changer is also a champ...Cant tell you how many time we go surfing in the pickup, come out of the water wet, jump in the car and with wet hand start changing disks dripping into the changer and it still works after 4 years...Alpine is the ****.

I bought an Eclipse a couple months ago...

Decent enough player with no real animations all over the lcd (like bass and treble meters)... The only problem Im seeing with it is that when you have an mp3 disc it reads into the next song for about 0.05 seconds before it switches on the 'Random' setting

I dunno if its worth the $180 I paid for it, but Im happy enough

Kenwoods are very nice and you can find one that plays MP3s under $200 on ebay.

The two sites that sectachrome mentioned are pretty good. I got a Panasonic touchscreen for under $200 because of a rebate and also got free shipping from etronics at the time.
