Yes, take out the bins and remove the rear hatch. You'll have a much easier time installing/hiding stuff.

got it.... begininning construction thursday...

I want to keep the bins (a changer in one and a battery in the other).... And I don't want you to see them from inside the car....

The four are going in the hatch, each in a sealed compartment in a big-*** MDF box. .75 cuft each, so a 3.0 cuft box.... with a spot for two caps. (the amp... probably 2.5-3ft. long.... will mount behind the hatch seperator) I'm going to cover the top of the box with 1/8" lexan painted in Vintage red on the underside with LED's bordering it (to make the red glow)...

man oh man.... i've got so much **** to do this weekend, the stereo, the jacobs ignition, avc-r, sleepy lights, a/c, gauges, brakes, dammit.

I won't sleep, but I'll drink a lot!

it will be completely molded in. The edges (where the lexan ends to where the hatch plastic begins) will be trimmed in oem-look vinyl wrapped 1/4" ply). This will be a professional Install..

Any ideas would be great, but don't worry.... I'm not going to run a perfectly good fd... I'm no amateur at modding cars... do it pretty much for a living...
