Glove Box Latch

My glove box latch in my Fd has been really loose lately. Well it finally gave completely and it wouldn't un-latch. So I had to painfully go in through the side of the dash and unscrew the whole unit.

My question is how do I separate the glove box from the liner to get inside and re fasten the latch inside of it so it doesnt move. It doesnt seem like there is any way to get in there with screws...and it doesnt look like you can just pull it apart.....

Okay........ So what I ended up doing was pulling the actual felty substructure out of the box enclosure. You will have to break the Plastic Welded peiced in order to get the two separated. Just be careful and take your time, there are quite a few maybe 15 or so in total. After I got them apart I was able to screw the hinge back in. THen I used some really heavy duty plastic glue instead of plastic weld to get the two back together. I put an Ace Bandage around the whole unit to ensure pressure was held on it and left it over night to dry. In the morning I took the bandage off and it was good to go. Re-installed it and everything works great.
