Getting your tan interior panels super clean, what product?

How do you guys pull it off? Mine have some minor marks/scuffs I can't get off, i've used a scrubbing pad and all purpose cleaners but didn't want to use anything too abrasive, what's the best way to go?

I've had good success with Blue Magic Leather & Vinyl Cleaner. I removed the panels to be able to give them a good scrubbing.

The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

Many have recommended it in the past and it works excellently. It's especially good at getting the dirt out of the texture of the material which wiping with a cloth won't do. It removes scuffs no problem. In the past I used cleaner and a scrub brush. The Magic Eraser is easier, faster, cleaner and does a better job. Try it.

You can find the Magic Eraser at your grocery store near the rest of the household cleaning products; it's not marketed at cars. Wal-Mart etc also carries them.

Wow. I'll have to try that.

Like you, I've always used some diluted all purpose cleaner and scrub brush also. Always worked for me, but time consuming.

Then again, I only do that once every 5 years or so.

+1. Great stuff. No weird film, no chemical smell, and it cleans and protects without any shine.

I did it the hard way at first with a scrub brush and cleaner. Magic Eraser ftw.

+1 . When you use the Magic Eraser, try to use as little water as possible (a little damp, not too dry or soaking wet). Use very little force and just let the eraser glide on the panel you're cleaning.

Usually when i detail cars i like using my Woolite formula. around 1oz in a 16oz spray container. REGULAR WOOLITE. It is the most gentile cleaning product you can use for detailing interiors. Also works great on leather without drying or damaging the leather itself. (for carpet's i use a thicker formula, 10 parts water 1 part WOOLITE). You can also use Meguiars APC/MPC (all/multi purpose cleaner). Costco's green apc/mpc works great also. If you're going to use APC/MPC on interior panels, use 1 part formula and 4 parts water (spray, scrub and wipe and you're done).

Just throwing different things out there for ya. Good luck and don't forget to condition/protect with a UV protectant!

I actually use "Leather Interior Cleaner" from Griot's Garage. AWESOME product and by FAR the BEST cleaning solution I've ever used to clean any panels within the FD.

When I bought my FD the tan door panels were filthy. Nothing I tired worked...until I took a bottle of Goop Hand Cleaner and a toothbrush to them. Gotta be the kind WITHOUT pumice to avoid scratching, but it worked really well.

If it won't work, go to wally martinez and get a bristle brush and use laundry powdered soap....I can't rememeber who told me to do this but it worked. 409 works good on a really tough spot.

No. Just let the car air out for a few mins. It's very similar to using Armor All. I just sprayed it on the panel, let it sit for a few seconds, and then wiped/scrubbed with a towel.
