gauge location

besides A-pillar mount, steering column mount, and DIN mount, where else can I mount gauge(s)? I once saw a center mount gauge mount pod on a link here, but I have no idea where that was....

can anyone offer additional suggestions?

I REALLY need to get a boost gauge... probably a temp gauge too....

This is probably what you're looking for...it's about the only center mounted gauge pod I've ever seen:

...and here's where you buy it:

anyone have pics of the tripower installed with different gauges? I think I will probably get the gauges & pod when I order my DP next week, but I can't decide if I want black or white gauges.

obviousally white gauges look more stock, but from what I see on the rx7store, none of the guages look all that much like the ones in my FD. and I think the black gauges might actually look a little more stealty, as they would blend in with the dash.

also, what is the difference between an electronic and mechanical gauges? I know that sounds stupid, but I really don't know.....

Here's a pic of my setup. I think VDO cockpit black is about as close to stock as you can get, although the illumination is white, bleh. The Vision series is available in red backlighting.

I like the idea of din gauges, but I installed my deck in my upper din slot, and lets just say that it isn't coming out.....
and the bottom slot holds my radar detector head unit, and will hold my FC commander mounting point soon I hope.
