I've just recently installed a new pioneer deck and hooked everything back up, but now my dash lights are working. I found out it was the fuse so I replaced it, and replaced it, and replaced it. As soon as I turn the ignition the fuse goes!

wires crossed, I dont think grounding out will do that, but time to pull it out again and re-check your work.

 

wires crossed? I didn't change any of the wires relating to the dash... would other wires interfear with the dash ones?

 

maybe it's something to do with illumination of the radio when the lights r on. Unplug all wiring to the radio and see if it still blows the fuse.

 

I taped up some wires that i wasn't using because I thought they might be interfering (which I should of done in the first place) and the fuse no longer blows, but they dash lights aren't coming on. Did I blow the bulbs? or is something else the matter.

any suggestion will be appreciated. i have no clue what the problem is.
