front turn signals lense turning yellow
My front turn signal lenses are starting to get a yellowish tint to them. Is there any way to clean them or an aftermarket replacement?

Take off the lenses.. start sanding them down with 100 grit or 80 grit till the numbers and letters sand off. Start working up in grit but do not go to the next grit until the lower grit scratches are sanded out. Its easier to tell if you get it wet for a second then you can see where the deeper scratches are. After like 1500 grit wet sand it with 2000 then use some rubbing compound. Next get out the plastic polish and a bufffing wheel. They will look brand new and no more crappy letters on them, nice and smooth. Just watch out with the buffing wheel it can burn the plastic.
I did this also for my backup lights because of the exhaust turning the pass side darker. I actually noticed that the reverse lights have 2 different shades when done... The upper half looks kinda satin/hazy and the lower half is crystal clear. I am guessing so the white reverse light is projected more towards the ground.

Dip the sand paper in a small dish of water to get it wet before you sand. This will pretty much just smooth the surface down even further and prep for polishing.
BTW: The process to sounded a little too long and permanent for me to attempt but it was actually really easy. Just get up some ***** and give it a try. I also learned about resurfacing in general from doing this because you will find a lot of painting/auto body use the same methods.
