Front License Plate Help

Gotta love the front plate law Around here in Oregon, it is heavily enforced if you are caught without a properly front mounted license plate, or atleast something close.

So question is....I don't want to put holes on my front bumper, not even a consideration, but I need something. I don't have the car in my possesion as it is being shipped, but I need to address this as soon as possible. Here is a pic of the bumper. Can I fit the license plate inside the bumper and it still be somewhat visible, atleast if you were looking at it head on. Any brackets I can pick up to mount it inside the bumper, or has anyone done this and willing to share how they did it?

Obviously this is where they stick their radar guns to bounce back the signal, and that's why they want it on the front. So some how, some where, it needs to be visible, even if it isn't "clearly" visible, but looks good from a slight distance.

Also, if placed there, is it going to cause any cooling issues as far as restricting air flow at an un-safe level?

Nevermind. Just finished searching through a 100 threads, and I guess I can't put the plate inside because of air restriction.

Damn....Guess I'll just have to make a bracket to mount under the bumper so I don't have to drill the visible surface. I just hope it doesn't totally ruin the look of the front end....looks so clean without plates.

Has to be mounted on the front most part of the car. Plates in the dash look cheezy IMO and will rash the hell out of your dash if they aren't secured.

let me know what you do, Virginia has the same law, and I am so close to just putting holes on my front bumper. If there is another way, I am all over it.

uh, the stock licence plate bracket does not require holes in the bumper.

That's what I was already considering just to appease the law.

I didn't know there were holes under it already for a bracket to mount up to. Probably still looks like crap though.

Well, when the car gets here, I'll think it over but from searching and thinking a little, I'm sure I will do a full on 99 spec bumper. Lip is already there so why not.

This is true, putting the front plate makes the car look so ugly though

I didn't mean it totally trashes the car, just takes a little shizam away from the front bumper.

I thought about that, but I live in village. Only 15k population, and with my business and doing work for the city and county, I am on a first name basis with most of them, so that would only work once.
