I'm pretty sure that I got mine at an advance auto. It was down here in Killeen, though....that's like 2 hours south of you.

At 5000k rating it looks like the PIAA's are a brighter white then the Sylvania but at a 1/3 higher price.

Nope. They're bright white---no blueness at all .

 

yeah you're right....just installed 1 bulb last nite to see how it looked, and damn it looks so much better.

I'll install the other one today after work--AFTER i buy some mechanics gloves. I think I've got glass splinters all over my hands from the install last nite, and they itch like crazy...

I'd post a pic, but it's hard to tell from my digicam pics. Extremely obvious in person though.

get the silver stars! I couldn't believe the difference. They can really reach out and touch someone on high beam. Special this week at advance auto 24.99 for one 12.50 for the seccond and you get a 10$ rebate too.

anyone know if they make an h3 component?

 

PIAA makes a H3 Plasma (but not the GT's) and it's rated the same or higher than the Sylvanias and they also make a bright white in a 35W if you don't want to increase the wattage to 55W.

 

even with hid's, the stock headlight lamp's beam pattern sucks. So far, the best beam pattern i have seen is rotaryextreme's headlight kit but the dual hid cost is killer!

 

thanks goracer, i am running the super plasmas right now for my h4s, they are pretty good i think. i was just wondering for all the guys with foglights, and re sleek light conversions.
