Fno1r-c 17x9 or Feed Hood?

Well i've decided to not get both but settle for one or the other. Both pieces I want NOW but who gets their way all the time, right? I'll be happy with one or the other for now; which one should i get? Both are about as expensive, visually pleasing, and functional. I'm leaning towards the hood but more contact patch/grip sounds good too. Thanks for your opinion- Clayton T.

Get new rims. You'll be surprised how different the car looks from just updating the rims.

Yeah, i was thinking of just doing the rims, 99 lip, and blacked out 93 turn signals. Maybe even throw in the $600 dollar VIS ks hood. I'd still love a FEED hood though . . .

Check out "Garfinkle's" ride on this thread, and see what wheels can do for the look of your car.

Haha, nah . . . the FD has it's account in my name

The CF Feed hood is about $1750 (price from rx7ecret)
5zigens with goodyear eagle 255/40/17 wheels $1600.

hood would look silly with stock wheels in my opinion. Kinda of like getting a PFC before getting an intake or exhaust.

I don't need a PFC. I own a auto and would like to retain the hold feature. Also, i've never boosted past 10psi and even if i do Pettit made a "budget pop off valve" with the vaccum hoses; if i have a boost spike/creep a hose will pop off in a easily accessable place. I'm prolly going to get some collum mounted gauges (fuel press/Oil press) and some center collum gauges (digital water temp, digital oil temp) to monitor what's going on with my car. I have no need for a aftermarket ECU because it doesn't suit my driving style (daily driven/spirted driving with rare WOT). As far as engine mods go I am done; now im working on the asthetics/suspension

EDIT: Oooof, read your message wrong bro; sorry for the write up hehe.

IMHO, rims would make the biggest difference in performance on your car. Sure the vented hood will reduce under hood temps, but do you drive your car hard enough to justify it? I'm not trying to sound like an ***, but if you did, then you would have gotten the hood a while back ago, amongst other things (not sure of your mods).

Personally, I reccomend the rims Not that it matters, but this vote has RedR1's seal of approval. . . . LOL

LMAO. . . .I needed that laugh tonight

Very good point about the heat tho. . . . . . but then again, back when I was stock, I never had any issues with the heat (cept when the ole lady complained about the lack of A/C). The stock hood should be fine, assuming your cooling system is up to snuff. Trust me, the wheels are like night and day, especially if you go wider. That. . . .and if your cooling system fails, you will look oh-so-pimp waiting for AAA

Back when I had a stock hood and front, like when I was 3 miles away from home (driving in a neighborhood to get home), I would pop my hood latch and let that small opening let air in. Never had an incident before, and it definately helped. Do not go any faster than about 15 MPH (that way the hood wont pop open. . . Oh that and so you can stop if kids jump out since you're going slow. . .lol).

Actually i picked up the habit of poping the hood from the previous owner; i pop the hood 2 mins away from the house, i go about 25 tops on the road to my subdivision. Maybe 25 isn't that smart but i never see the hood bouncing or looking like it's trying to fly open so i ASSUME it's safe.

My cooling system is pretty good, i covered that base and you're right about the vented hood. It's overkill but a little extra help doesn't hurt
