Fixing Headlight Cover

The rear screw tabs have broken on my passenger headlight cover. The tabs are still intact, but just seperated from the cover. Does anyone know of a quick, yet permanent fix for this? Thanks.

When this happened to my passenger side cover, it flew into the air (I was driving) and an SUV ran over it. So I replaced it with the FEED cover. Unfortunately, it then happened to my driver's side cover, although no one ran over it. I've "temporarily/permanently" fixed it by JB Welding the cover to the still-in-place mounting tabs. Its been that way for about a year now, and it isn't budging. Whenever I finally get around to painting the car, I'll probably just buy a new one, but for now its working OK.

You can also use JB Weld to patch it up....that's what the body shop used to fix mine...

What kind of surface prep did you do before you epoxied it together?

Besides obviously washing it, I sanded it with coarse sand paper. The drilling was just extra, and probably would be fine w/o going to the trouble. As it is now, I can't even flex the fixed part, even deliberately trying to break it off again.
