FD Widebody Rear Fenders

I've been eagerly awaiting the completion of these fenders! They are an awesome compliment to the fronts that they already sell, and these rear's (IMHO) are the best looking widebody rear quarter panels that you can get for the FD3S, that still maintaining the stock body lines. AND they "fit 345 width rear tires on a 13 inch rim with no problem", FTW!!!... Sick!
(Do you agree?)
Thanks Ronin!

(P.S. I, hopefully, am not stepping on the Ronin guys' toes by starting this thread, sorry if I am... I'm just very happy to finally be seeing these things made. Plus, it's up for sale on their website right now, so it can’t be too secret...)

Goodfellafd3s made a good point. How do you fill the gas tank given that the fenders do not have an opening for it.

This is a quote from one of the ronin guys regarding the gas filler door:

"The first batch going forward will be made without a fuel door so you'll need to add your own. There are a variety of options on Summit, alternatively we've been talking through ways in which users could have the door trimmed from the part itself and just add an hinge and push latch on the backside. We kind of want to get these out there and see what folks come up with to help us narrow down on the best solution."

Unless you had a fuel cell, or some sweet fabrication skills to relocate the door, this might not be super practical... But the fuel-door-less rear quarter is sweet looking, I think...

The fuel door will be added later as "street" option. For the time being these are labeled as our "race" fenders.

A lot of guys with wide bodied cars have fuel cells, alternately a lot of really wide bodied cars have extensive modifications to the exterior and prefer to customize their fuel fill solution. The FD factory fill cover is HUGE, and cuts drastically into the lines of most wide-body kits. We wanted our kit to retain the lines of the factory FD, just make them more muscular, so for aesthetic reasons our first product is smooth.

On my car I relocated the fill point under the hatch, but exterior to the weatherstrip.
here is a picture with a self-sealing gas-cap:

and one with the cover:

I actually have since enlarged the hole and use a traditional gas cap, since CA has too few of the traditional gas fill pumps.

the look good, only thing i hate is how the fenders go up the side of the car? creates an ugly seam IMO.. im just curious why it didnt stop at the top of the fender?

Those pictures were taken of the original set we pulled from the mold. We wanted to have the option to leave it up the pillar, or trim it low. We have since trimmed it low, and plan to offer that as the default configuration. BTW that is the only visible, non factory seam line these fenders add. Very little blending needed for a perfectly smooth look.

Bump from the dead.

Looking for more pictures on this kit, specifically the rear.

Any pics with the traditional fuel cap? I live in a dusty climate and would want to at least seal it, preferably in the same location under the hatch.
