Fiiting SPEAKERS!

Ok Everyone I have been into Rx-7s for 5 years now, looking into buying one for two years and finaly I have bought one. Everything is good I am a member on www.clubrxquebec.com and life is beautiful.

So, the wife wants me dead, is considering putting a katana through my hood and tires everyday but life is still good.

Now I have Infinity Kappa speakers a pair of components 6 1/2 and a regular pair of 6 1/2's and a 4 channel amp. To make a long story short nothing fits and I am depressed.

However, I just saw this green and carbon FD in my Modified Mag review and the front speakers are 6 1/2's, the installer was Audio Originals....

Now I am wondering if anyone has a contact to this "Audio originals" or if anyone can direct me to someone who sells modified door panels or kick panels.

Alex

P.S If this does not work I will sell my kit for 800 CAD O.B.O

dradon03@hotmail.com and thanks for the help, still the 7 can't loose!

Do you have any pics or other information on this? I have the stock rear brackets with intentions of modifying or constructing new ones based on dimensions for 6x9s .

Which models have you found to fit in the front doors, any limitations other than the bracket in the rear for 6x9?

In cars that don't have the Bose stereo, 6.5" is the stock front door speaker size. But the depth should be less than 2.5" for an easy fit.

Do you have Bose?
How deep are your speakers?

If you can come up with the stock base brackets and or R1 R2 those should have the 6” brackets. I measured it and it seems the max depth would be 2 5/16 to the mounting rim if you do not wish to cut the plastic in the rear of the bracket to facilitate a bigger/deeper magnet.

I don’t have a idea though what would fit in there if the plastic were to be cut, and the magnet were to reside further past the bracket than stock without interrupting any mechanical gear inside the door.

Any information from people that have dealt with this issue? Models or specific dimensions that work well?

Good try but no cigar. He has a 3rd gen. RX-7, not an FC.
