Just to let you know, the FEED door handles are not real carbon fiber. They are painted.

Those are just stickers that go over the handles. I have seen it on other cars and they look very cheap and nothing like CF.

A bunch of info on the Feed door handles, and some up close pictures of the painting.

Your best bet is to find someone who will do a carbon fiber overlay as they are real carbon fiber and have the look you want.

2 things:

1) The feed ones are sprayed on...no big difference

2) the old RX7trix overlays did look cheap. I won't lie. But the new ones (they've had them for about 6 months now) look INCREDIBLE. I know, because I have them I've gotten lots and lots of compliments on them. In fact, these new ones have much wider weaves of CF, and a real thick clearcoat on them.

Here are some pics...

Glad I could help =)

When you do call RX7Trix, ask to speak to Brandon, and tell him Ramy referred ya to get the overlays.

Good part about the FEED ones, is you get 2 brand new door handles in the process. considering door handles are over $120 a pop for new, I think $300 is a damn good deal... for the 2 new door handles and carbon look.

Jason,

You know, I was just thinking about this a few minutes ago...go figure.

Actually, I think new door handles go for $180 a pop...so right there, you're at $360...

I opted for the overlays because I had just replaced my door handles (before I knew about the CF handles). Aaand...I was lucky. My friend who worked at Mazda got them for me for $90 a pop w/ his employee discount!

So yea, I'm not tryin to hurt your sales Jason. Just offering options to people who aren't going to get new door handles. If I was gonna change mine tho, I'd get the FEED ones. It's a no-brainer, plus it's JDM!! hehe

I remember someone on the forum making a full carbon fiber door handle. They looked awesome. Does anyone know who it was who made them. I thought they were from the website travisorus rex posted, but apparently they arent.

Anyone know?

Ah not at all man.... No biggie I actually recommend customers that have new handles to go with RE-Amemiya or something since those you can turn yours in or we can get some and have it done to save money. Otherwise if your handles are worn or even broken I would say the FEED ones are a good deal since the do take brand new handles and change them. $110.95 shipped on a door handle is the best price I have ever seen, so still your a few bucks off on the FEED, but an extra what $40 or something they can be CF look, so thats cool. I actually sold my USED handles off my FD when I got the FEED ones, but my handles were in great condition still.

Jason,

2 questions...

1) RE-Amemiya has an overlay? I kinda lost you w/ the turning yours in part...

2) $110.95 shipped for new FD door handles?! Holy crap that's cheap. Was this recent?! I got my price from both Mazda and Mazdatrix...$180 a pop, as of yesterday!

I bought my Feed handles from Corksport in Oregon. Paid under 2 hun. New door handles that look cool and open a lot smoother than my old ones. Can even use your lighted locks, they took about an hour to replace.

There we go. Those are the ones i'm talkin about. They look like they were made very well. And 90 bucks for completely carbon fiber wrapped handles, cant beat that. I mean, i know its not completely made from carbon fiber, but its better then painted carbon fiber.

Those do look good but I think they would look better if they could match up the carbon pattern on the latch with the pattern on the handle.
