FD3S Rear speaker wiring and upgrading front speakers.

Hey guys, I bought rear speaker brackets for my 1994 touring edition that has the bose system factory. I'm terribly handicap with audio systems and have searched to either not find what I was looking for or was completely confused by various contradictions that I cannot make sense of.
In the process of adding in the 6X8's in the rear; I would like to upgrade the stock front speakers as they are breaking up a little bit. I don't want a bad *** bumpin system! I like to listen to my music and not feel it.
What I need basically is someone to be able to tell me how to wire the rear 6X8's (installation is straightforward), and what speakers to buy for the front with the easiest modification to the housings (as I read you need to keep the factory amp's for the front). Please lead me in the right direction, as I'm just a noob ha...

When you say "how to wire the rear 6x8's", do you mean which connections to make where, or how to run the wires?

Well, I guess there would be two connections on the speaker... Where would those route to the bose head-unit? Also, would I need an inline amp or what?

What did you end up doing? Did you get the rears speakers all wired up?

I hate that the Bose system doesn't have rear full range speakers. Who's idea was that?

it would be SO much easier if you just bought an aftermarket headunit. Wiring a headunit and speakers is a piece of cake, then you just need to run all the speaker wires from the cabin to the headunit and connect to the color coordinated wires.

Can't one just use the existing wires also? I know it's easy to run new wires to all four corners (except maybe to the doors) but aren't the wires already there? One can just get a new head unit and harness, and then replace the speaker/amps and Bose wave with new speakers. (You will have to extend the wires from the back though.) The key is replacing or skipping over the built-in amps and run off the new HU's amp. All the posts I've seen discuss replacing the HU and leaving the rest of the 15 year old system with the adapter - backwards to me.

In other words, the original HU has speaker outs that go into amps before the speakers. In theory, one can replace these with new speakers using the original wiring. Someone please confirm this is possible. Thanks.
