Lightbulb FD tail light mod idea that's NOT Altezza rice!

Ok. I was coming home from work today and saw an older Maxima in the express lanes with the whole Euro tail light thing going, but these had a circle of LED lights going around as tail/brake lights with the backup and turn lamps in the center and that made me wonder a bit. With OUT having a clear lens, has anyone seen anything for FD's as far as a tail light with LEDs? And I don't mean getting a bulb from ledcorp or ledtronics or anything like that. I mean a custom job that retains the intended look but enhances it a bit. Something that actually uses many elements to give it real bright output. I'm just curious.

Dunno but I don't think I would put anything on my car that would cause anyone to say "Hey, those look kinda like Alteza lights!"

no sorry i don't think that would of worked out. i just don't see it happening. i think it would come out really ugly. i mean the car has been around 10 years it would of been done already. and man those maxima lights are ugly -.-. i mean you can go ahead and try and prove me wrong

99 spec RX7 tailights are as good as you're going to get. Anything else and it's going to look out of place.

=/ eh... doens't attract me i just don't see why'd you want to replace them or the 99spec ones for some euro thing. i mean they're so simple yet elegant. i think FD's have the nicest taillight out of all cars like supras and s2000. but do what fits you best and like most no matter what anyone says.

I kinda like that, but I wanted to stay with the idea of the '99 spec look. IE same dimentions of lights and whatnot. I can't explain what I'm thinking. As soon as I get an assembly in and get something working I'll post a pic.

I just don't see changing the cars parts to stand out... Not saying your idea might not look good... I just probably wouldn't do it.

Are you talking about the angel eyes? Like for the headlights on BMW's?

Hmmm....well, kinda yeah and kinda no. Maybe that's what I was thinking. When I start tinkering I'll see if it ends up too much like that or not. I certainly (sp??) don't want to mimmic something else.

A little off topic here, how's that coolant issue you're working on?

should be all back togeather today. i think it was the water pump housing to motor gasket and i pulled it off and this is what it looks like.

What gasket
so i just need to put the water pump and alt back on and see if it still leaks then put the air pump and IC back on and then take it to "bluff road" (initial D style)
