That's retail price. Phil got it for us for $180 or so IIRC. Still a lot, but eh...it's 5-spd, in the leather of your choice, and illuminated, w/ a rotary design on the top!

 

same here. if you want one contact Herblenny. i think he may have a few illuminated 5spd's left.

 

It is the magnum titatium. I love the weight of it, and it is very solid feeling. My tranny is newly rebuilt and tight, and along with the short shifter I find it much easier to shift aggressively and error-free with this ****.

 

so the mazdaspeed leather **** isnt as nice as the carbon fiber one?
also is the carbon fiber real? if not how good does it look?
(i think i want a leather one but id like the best feeling if theres a difference)

 

I had a mazdaspeed leather **** and now have a momo one. Compared to the stock shift **** its beefer and little more comfy. I liked it, but my short shifter stripped the plastic threads out of the inside of it when I installed and removed it like 5 times in a row. So much for that. I now have a Momo shift **** and personaly like it more, both astheticly and feel. Its a ball style shift **** though, and it seems thats not what you're aiming for, so I wont go into detail.

 

well anything should be more "comfy" than my stock **** that ive never even felt with the leather still on it =C (its just bare plastic, not even perfectly shaped)

 

I went from the stock **** to 2 different MOMO *****. Both look better aesthically but they are very light and I prefer the feel of a weighted ****.

 

had a leather B&M, now have the RX8 shift **** from the RX7 store, love it!!!!! and its 5 speed

Might as well add my name to this aging thread.. I have the leather mazdaspeed shiftknob and love it.
