Hey all, Ive been working my *** off, and trying to get the loot to move so I havent been updating or doing anything really. I completed one set for the pods and I never finish sanded them or anything. When I get the chance I will take photos, Chris I didnt mean to give you the silent treatment, im just hardly at the computer and I forget to put up away messages.
No problem. I know I'm competing with a few different interests, and one of them has breasts and calls herself your girlfriend. Maybe I can get her to take pitty on me and motivate you

BUHAHAHAHAHA!!
I thought the whole concept was BS. The question I asked on page 1 on how the pods were going to clear the window was never answered (if speakers 2.5"+ in depth won't clear the window, then how is a pod that's going to hold a BIGGER speaker do it?). Twatever...

On a side note to everyone, don't get the 5.25 Kappa Perfects (or any Infinity speaker for that matter), they have very little midbass. I got a great deal on them, so that's why I went with them. Now, I regret it.

actually to whoever wants pictures I can send them. I did them by hand, and cleared the window, and the panel fits over the speaker without hitting. I screwed up though and used the original pod plastic backing and the fiberglass didnt hold. I have 6.5" in there and they fit fine.....

I'm definitely interested and always have been; however, I was just curious to see how you would make it work.
I made mine work by getting shallower spaekers
I had Infinity Kappa Perfect 5.1, and they fit, but I needed to use the mounting bezel and invert it to give enough of an offset, to clear the window.... And then the Speaker cover didn't clear, after that I went on crutchfield's site, bought the ones they said would fit, used the 5.1 Tweeters, and 5.1 crossover, and still sounded pretty good, I did loose some bass, and I wonder if that has to do with the crossover thinking I have a larger woofer, but then again I sould have gained bass by that accord...
Either way it worked out, and I'm happy...

Id also like to see pictures of this. You can send them here: ib.juan@gte.net
bump!
Still looking for more info on 6.5" speakers up front. I have the Bose system and I hear its harder for 6.5" speakers to fit in the doors. Do the speaker enclosures from non-Bose cars bolt up to Bose equipped FDs? It seems that people without the Bose system have an easier time fitting 6.5s up front.

Just to throw this in...
I have a set of 6.5" MB Quart separates that fit NO prob. The speaker itself was raised a bit from the plastic mounting bracket (about a half inch) - I used self-tapping screws to attach it to the bracket, then clear silicone to seal up the half inch gap. It JUST clears the window.
It wasn't hard at all to install, everything fits and sounds great
. I put the tweeters in the black triangle vents at the front of the window - looks clean and stock.
