Question FD Firewall Question

I have been looking all over the firewall and i have some gauges to run from the engine bay to the gauge pod. i only see 2 areas that you can run wires through the firewall. all i see is the 1 area in both the fenders. Does anyone have any recommandation. Is it a good idea to drill into the firewall. its awfully tit behind the dash.

Search on posts from moconnor. he has pics of the locations on both sides. I believe its in the 3rd gen section.

Also check the 3rd gen FAQ as I believe there is info about that in a thread on installing a boost gauge.

Behind the dead pedal (foot rest) on the driver's side is a gromet (with no wires) which gets you in between the fender liner and the fire wall. From there you have access to the engine bay behind the strut tower. The passenger side is pretty well sealed up unless you have your ac components removed from behind the dash.
