FC Vert Subwoofer Setups

I'm getting far enough along on the mechanicals of my vert to begin thinking more about the non-critical stuff like the stereo. I have a 10" sub I want to put back under the cover in the rear, ideally keeping the spare in its stock location. So, I'd like to see (ideally with pics, of course) what some of the rest of you have in the way of enclosures/mounts to put a sub in that location and your experiences with how they sound so I can figure out the best way to proceed. Thanks!

Put a turbo engine under the hood and a nice exhaust - you'll yank the stereo out so you can listen to the song of the motor while you drive.

Heh. That's a project for down the line, but I imagine even then I'll still want a decent stereo in it. :P

You should take a look at www.edesignaudio.com and look at their SQ10 sub. It is a good candidate for your application.

That does look like a nice sub- but I've already got the actual subwoofer itself- what I need is to build the enclosure for it, and was hoping for some insight into what people had done before in the way of enclosures for the verts.

I haven't got a full enclosure in my vert at this time (a project for later this year) but for the moment I'm running a self-powered 8" sub that I hid in front of the spare wheel well, like this:

The plan is to replace it with a hopefully removeable FG enclosure (with an MDF top) and an amp on the other side of the strut. But I've got to ICE up my FD first and as that setup is working, I'm leaving it alone at the moment.
