Does anyone think that with approx. 10 speakers in a FC will it blow the glass in the hatch? I know that wasnt a specific question so I shall now elaborate.

I am going to be re-wiring and installing a new sound system for my 88 SE. I will be using an Eclipse mp3/cd head unit and more than likely I will be using Memphis or Rockford fausgate(sp?) speakers. The new speakers will go in al the stock locations. I.E.: the pair of 4's in the dash, 6.5's in the doors, ill be trying to stuff 8's into the shock/strut towers while fabricating new surrounds. thats only 6 so far. Next ill be adding 4 12's into the hatch area. 2 will go into the area where the storage bins currently reside, 1 will makes its home in the area for the spare tire, and the final 12 will fit in the center of the hatch area. These last 4 subs will either be Sony Xplodes or something of better sound quality, price will determine. Also everything will be custom fabricated into a large box, some neon and graphics under plexiglass as well as a pair or trio of amps, 2 to handle the 4 subs and 1 to power the 6 factory mounts.

If you think this is too much or would like to see it actually done let me know, im interested what everyone has to say on this matter.

Yeah, but ive got the time...and I priced the majority of it, all cept the amps of course, to be around 2 grand....im sinking abotu 3grand into the motor and I told myself id split the money evenly between everything...so Im thinking another grand worth of stereo wont hurt, plus I enjoy sound quality...and quality costs $$$...sadly enough...you can thump easily but to hear everythign else you gotta go for broke. But hey ill try and make a write up and take tons of pics....since im going to try and make a mold for those rear towers....mine area cracking and the 89 gxl im getting no longer has them.
