Arrow FC not good enough for expensive mods?

I have an 86 FC that I bought, but lately have been wondering if I shouldn't buy an FD. This is going to be an all out show car with *****. It's pretty much going to be redone from top to bottom. The wheels I have in mind are going to be a 5000 dollar set of HRE's, the seats are a pair of Bride's newest, etc. This just doesn't seem like I should be putting this stuff on an FC. I'm not dissing the FC (well trying not too). It just seems like I should be putting cheap things on it and not nice expensive modifications. Does this make any sense?

If you put all that expense into ANY car, you are most likely not going to get your money back out. Might as well build what you like.

I definitely don't plan on getting any money back on the mods, I actually plan on keeping the car pretty much forever. I understand your point, but try not to confuse my question.

I think I'm just gonna do an FD. I do have someone that wants my car for a project. I'd rather give it to him and have him be happy with it I guess.

Ok, never mind, now I understand what you said, I'm sorry. You're absolutely right.

In that case, start with an RX-8. All the 7s are getting pretty old these days.

WHa??? If you are going to completely go through a car then it deosn't matter if you have a model T or a 2006 RX7. You're rebuilding it to your specs. You are rebuilding whether old or new its still rebuilding. So just pick the car you want. The labor is all the same and a modded car is worth the quality of the job.
