all of us with s4 rx7's (except 10ae) got stuck with some sucky interior colors......the s5 improved with black (imo)

so, im sure the dash and other plastic pieces can be painted by using that guys method of how he painted his FD dash.

but what about the plastic/vinyl type material that the door panels and center console are made of? anyone have any solutions of something that wont chip??

 

if you mean the smooth plastic peices, maybe try roughing them up a little with some fine sand paper, and the paint will have a good chance of sticking

 

well, its almost vinyl like.......weird material, but its the material on the top of the door panel?

i am with you on this one zero, i have that nasty blue color, I am going to do EVERYTHING in my power to get rid of it... If you use an acid etch primer after some fime grit sandpaper, then some GOOD quality paint it should work. A friend of mine did it a couple of months ago and his still looks real good...

 

they make vinyl sprays and dies just for this kinda thing.

 

i bought a black s5 one today, im gonna swap what i can.......started removing today, but still post pics

 

Here ya go, pardon all the dust on the the inside of the car, I installed all of the carpeting but i've been doing some body work and it's gotten pretty dusty since. Interior Job

 

I'm diggin my black/blue thing going on... Still need to finish my dash and everything else... i would kill to even have Grey or Blue for the rest of the car...
