Talking Basslink X Mounted ***PICS***

I finished the install about 2 weeks ago, but I just got around to taking pics and resizing them.

I removed the Bose Snake leaving nice big holes in the carpet. My dad and I decided to just make a template and make a whole new back carpet with padding and platform. There are two layers of foam beneath a thin sheet of hardboard cut to fit the back. A piece of plywood was covered with the same carpet, and the Basslink and the Amp for the components were mounted on the plywood.

I'm very happy with how everything turned out. The Basslink sound great. It's not ghetto loud, but with the hatch and doors closed, it sounds very loud and clean.

I recommend the Basslink. I got it for $154 with a Circuit City discount (friend).

looks very nice. How much better does it sound over the stock bose? Also, how hard was the installation, including the removal of old speakers?

Nice and clean install. BTW, how is the Basslink mounted to the trunk floor (screws, straps?), and how did you route the wires and cables to the source unit?

I had to trim off part of the hatch cover, but it not noticeable at all. The amp, Basslink, distribution block, and fuse holder are all screwed down to a piece of plywood which is covered with the carpet. It then sits on top of the carpet, hardboard, and foam.

I do have pics of the speaker installation. It was VERY time consuming because we fabricated new enclosures. I'll post some pics when I get home.

The sound is 10 million times better than the stock Bose snake

Really, absolutely no comparison. It sounds very, very nice.
