FC guys, which model has the lightest doors?
let me start off by saying someone tried to break into my car, and screwed up my passenger door... i guess i can live with getting body work done to it to fix it, but i had a thought of replacing the door...
so... my question is, if there's a difference between the Turbo II, GTU, GTUs, or GXL, in terms of the weight of the doors.
what really inspired me was that long video of the RE Amemiya FC build up. there was a portion of the vid that showed that the doors were really light, and can move freely (i think they're FRP?). i noticed that when i swing the doors open and shut on my Turbo II, that it is NOT LIGHT. the doors on the Turbo II can open and close shut by itself on "angled grounds"... i don't mind the bulky doors, but it would be nice to own lighter doors to shave off that excess weight.
what d'you guys think? (thanks in advance for any input)

they are all the same weight....the weight differences are in the craph inside the door, window motors, paneling, power locks, insulation, etc. but the door itself, you won't get much lighter.

BTW, FRP and carbon doors are not safe on street cars... they're meant for cars that have roll cages with side bars on them (like the one in the video).
Just thought I'd point that out.
