I have an 83 FB GSL. It has the "premium sound", to my knowledge, which means Clarion amps under the seats and the little position sound stick and such.

Anyways. it feels like the entire system relies on the rear speakers. They are nice and loud and have good full range sound. When I shift the bias to the front, though, the fronts are almost silent. It's not that they're not putting out a decent range, but they are just REALLY quiet. Like, barely audible. With the balance set dead center you have to hold your ear within a few inches of them to hear anything.

Is this a problem with my car, or are they all like this? If I throw new speakers in, will I have a stronger stage, or will it still be uber-quiet?
