Question faded carbon fiber hood

has anyone else had their carbon fiber hood fade to the point where all the clear coat is gone and its just dull and ugly? i certainly have, and its ruining the look of an otherwise beautiful car. I have what looks like a VIS knock off W-style hood that the previous owner installed and im sure it looked great then but now....not so much. has anyone tried to polish carbon fiber or better yet how does it take to paint if i were to get a quart of BB and spray it to match the car. any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. here is a pic of the ugly hood:

All you have to do is get it re-cleared then buffed... it should look fine after...

make sure you use a pc or udm, doing it by hand will generate unsatisfactory results.
