EVO-R KS headlight fitment update * Big Pics Inside*
OK, after spending labor day weekend between Dremmeling and the hardware store, I've sent EVO-R an email requesting my money back. There's no way the kit I received will fit a stock FD.
The lights themselves won't clear the front bumper when the lights are closed. Pardon the 2nd pic, I guess I got the font sized wrong. It reads left-to-right: "These springs are 1/2 as long as the ones that came with the EVO-R kit.", then "Even with the shorter springs, there is no way the lights can clear the bumper when closed.", then "This notch had to be enlarged for the bracket to fit into the OEM bucket."

The EVO-R shrouds will never fit together with the stock headlight covers, no matter how much material I Dremmel off, as you can CLEARLY see in the 2nd pic.

hmmm. what happened to the pics I attached?

It's been less than 30 days since I bought the kit, and I have no problem contacting Paypal and/or eBay to get my money back.
I got ripped off.

I'm not sure how people can honestly sell stuff like that. I've seen alotta parts that just straight up did not fit at all. How can you be proud of making a part like that? Don't they see it as a waste of effort to even create it and then when they go to test fit it "Yup, doesn't fit worth a damn!" how do you think they would react if they were a local shop and you ran up there and showed it to them? The invention of the internet has littered the market with crap parts.
I've been really shocked lately by Shineauto, those guys are the only people I've seen that can provide you tremendous replica's at low prices.

Any up date on this issue? I almost purchase a set please tell me you doing something rung you mist a step or some thing because that’s stupid how people take to make these F**k up kits and sell them?

Nah, I didn't miss a step or put them in wrong. They just plain didn't fit.
Now the seller is claiming that since I Dremmeled the bracket in an attempt to make them fit, that the kit is not in it's original condition and he's trying to deny my Paypal claim. I'm out 400+ bucks on a Chinese knock-off POS lighting "kit".
This guy's a member of this forum, too.

I hate to hear bullshit service like this, it doesn't matter what the situation is, if you're a vendor you should stand behind your product 110%. If your product doesn't fit because it's straight up **** then either fix your design or refund the customer's money back.

I hear ya on that, but I wanted them to fit soo badly and it seemed like they were soo close. After buying shorter springs, Dremmeling the crap out of the shrouds AND brackets, I finally threw in the towel and gave it up.
My buddy that works in a body shop was with me, and he had so many little tricks up his sleeve...I really thought he'd be able to get 'em in there, but the basic design of the brackets is just too weak to Dremmel any more, and too thick and bulky to fit into the stock buckets.
If all goes bad and I end up with a set of $400 eBay H3 lights from China, I may try to make my own damn bracket out of something a little stronger than plastic, like aluminum or even fiberglass and take it from there. Anyway, who knows if that plastic bracket would have melted after the lights were on for an hour or so..?
Junk.

Sorry this happened but by any chance did you use your CC through paypal?
All of my transactions are payed with a CC, even the paypal ones. That way if there is ever a problem that just can't be resolved and I have exausted all of my options, I just call up my CC and *bam* I get my money back.
There is a reason why paypal always pushes for the buyer to use his bank account rather than a CC. The CC company can pull the funds right back out while your bank can't. Thus leaving you at the mercy of paypal to just say "sorry the the account that your money was deposited into is zero, therefore we can't get you your money back:
Good luck keep us updated.
