engine paint and suspension paint...

first off i have no clue where this goes so mods please move where you see fit..

im basically rebuilding my car ground up and im planning on painting pretty much everything. ive been searching for hours for paint that i can use on both engine and suspension....

now for suspension, would i just use regular body paint?

as for engine paint, obviously i need something high temp. im looking for some crazy colors but all i can find are your basic black blue and red colors.. ive checked g2 but a bit iffy on their color selection.. is there a way i can get a custom paint color that is high temp or is custom colors only for body paint?

also acrylic or enamel?

thanks

Not sure if you're looking for stuff out of a can but I used the high heat engine paint from Dupli-Color. I used it on one of my turbo inlet pipes and its help up very well without any chipping. I've pressure washed my engine bay a few times and the paint hasnt come off. It comes in various colors and is usually available at your locals parts store. It could be something to consider. It comes in two varieties. Regular engine paint and High Heat engine paint. I've only tried the high heat stuff with great results.

Bennie... powdercoat the suspension parts, it will look better and last longer...and any high temp enamel should be fine... you will be limited as far as color. Check out Summit or Jegs.

+1 on the powdercoat, i did my control arms on my 240 and it looks nice matching the coilovers. As for the engine get you some duplicolor, it seems to hold up good. I just hope you can find the color your looking for, as my green it is a little ..........lime?

Just don't plan on looking at it much. All you can see is the hook for pulling the motor.

You might be able to use the same paint, considering our hoods are aluminum.

I agree; I would have the suspension components powder coated.

High temp paints are relatively basic. However, I've found several different colors at my local auto parts store (Autozone).
