i had a stereo put in and im getting engine noise. my alternator is fine and my grounds in the engine are fine. i only get the sound on am not fm all threw the day. if someone might know i would sure appreciate it. btw i have a gsl-se

Can you describe the engine noise? Is it whining coming from the speakers that increases in pitch when you accelerate? And it only happens with AM radio only? That's weird! Are you running an amp? If so, check and/or relocate your amp ground, and make sure it's on bare metal. Also, how are your speaker and RCA lines run? If they are together, try separating them.

 

do you run some kind of aftermarket ignition system?

 

i have the same problem but on everything including CD

its weird when i apply the brakes i hear a click! and when i take my foot off i hear a click! and when im downshifting it whines like crazy its real annoying
