DuPont Teflon Tire Shine is the best!!!
I just bought it after being soo tired of the slime that I was using in the past.
DuPont introduces the only tire shine with Teflon surface protectors for a long-lasting, clear, "wet look" shine. It bonds to tires and won't leave a greasy mess. The non-stick Teflon coating leaves an invisible protective barrier to help repel new dirt, road grime and brake dust build-up for a long-lasting, clear, "wet look" shine.

Just came out.
I got mines at Walmart for just a little over $5.
Just don't spary on the tread and ur fine.
The good thing is that it doesn't "fling" from the tires and get all over the body paint.

Really. That's the problem I've had with Eagle 1. Drive it around the block and it's all over your paint, nice!
You're sure this really doesn't do that?

The Cause of Death
One of my professors at school said that tire shine and stuff like that weakens the sidewall of tires.
I stopped using it them. They do make the tires look good though...

I saw that stuff at Advanced Auto when I stopped by the other day. I actually chuckled about the "Teflon" statement. I guess maybe it is good stuff, huh?
On that note, I'm curious how you guys apply this kinda stuff. Batman, you said just spray on. I NEVER spray tire shine, simply cuz it'll get on the paint or rim while you're doing that. I use one of those black/yellow tire shine applicators, spray it onto the applicator, and run the applicator on the tire sidewall...

They claim that Teflon is inert and it their stuff doesn't damage rubber......

O just spray it on and walk away and let it dry, unlike the other stuff where it NEVERS dry and spatters everywhere and collects brake dust and ****....

I've been using a tire shine product which has Teflon in it for a while now (DuPont isn't first ones to do it). Works ok however, I never really had a problem with the others (as far as drying).
It does seems to last a little longer than the "non-Teflon" ones that I've used.

Hands down, the best product is Blackfire cleaner and gel. It doesn't leave that slimy oily look on the finish - just a nice dark matte black color. And it lasts a few weeks if you use the cleaner first.
As far as teflon goes, Teflon is supposed to be non-stick, no friction. And tires are supposed to stick. I'm fascinated with that irony. Anyway, it's a pointless application of the product where they are trying to milk more money out of the Teflon name - it serves no functional purpose. If it lasts longer it has little to do with the Teflon in it, IMO.
