Door Latch Issue
So I just replaced my door handle on my 1990 (S5). All the rods are in place, but I found that the rod to open the door (inside handle) isn't moving with the metal piece, and my door is now stuck closed. I've tried opening it from the inside, outside, I've tried pressing on the tab below the opening rod, and none of it is working. My passenger door works, thankfully, but I need help ASAP on how to get this door open. Any tips on replacing the latch inside would also be appreciated.
Inside Latch moves the clip, but not the rod.

somehow you need to get in there and either connect the rod, or move it with something long and pointy. once you get the door open, the latch is held in with 3 screws, and comes out with some gymnastics.
either replace, or repair...
