For everyone else...
I'm attaching a pic that I saved awhile ago that shows how Chuck modifies the 93 rebar. You can see that he chops off the ends and shaves a bit off the top edge. Sorry, I don't have a larger version. And no, it's not my car and I haven't tried it yet.

I didn't cut the ends off my rebar, I just enlarged the hole.. but when everythings done and cut, theres hardly anything left anyway..

Here is my attempt at fitting the RE bumper. Its pretty close I guess I will have to deal with anything gaps I don't like. Looks ok though. Used the picture earlier in the thread to cut and sand the rebar too. I did end up adding rubber pads to the top of the rebar to keep the bumper supported. Required shims(washers) to get the gaps correct. I will probably shim some more to even the gaps a little more. All I can say is be patient with it.

You really don't want to know how many times I have had the bumper on and off. Since I got it to this fitment I would say 25 times. I have had the bumper off maybe 5-8 times here recently shimming it to make it look right after paint. It is mostly PITA type of fitment. Trying to be carefull and not nick the paint. I was going to say the hell with it if I didn't get it close this last time. One thing that helped was shimming the bumper forward at the fenders, doing this relieved a lot of the sunken area in front of the headlight covers.

Sounds like there is constant test fitting eh? SIt also sunds like the only way to tell if you have done it right is to reinstall it and evaluate. Once the bumper is on, is there easy access to plug in? Is expanding foam a neccesity? I would be quite satisfied with the fitment you have achieved.
