According to my measurments it is an inch too wide from there advertised size but if it fits in a Miata it should fit in a RX-7. Stock seat width is 20" Mazdaspeed width is 22".

I went down today to pick mine up. First the bad news. Yes they (x3racing.com) admit they are not from MazdaSpeed but merely "inspired by". Yes the stitching of MazdaSpeed on the head support is kind of sloppy. Now the good news. The seat is very comfortable. It's made of what feels like a nylon cloth (spill a soda on and wipe it off no biggy and still look nice) not cheap vinyl like what it looks like in their pics. They fold forward about 30 degrees due to love handle supports but fold back all the way. The seats and universal sliders that come with it keep the seats very low. The *** contact portion of the seat between the thigh supports is wider but my 5’10” 155lbs butt fits better in my R1 seat. I measured three of the widest parts of the seats. 21.5" at the thighs (20" on the R1 seat), 20.5" love handle supports (20" on R1) and 22" at the shoulder supports (16" on R1). All and all the seat was of surprisingly nice quality but the one real turn off was what brought me there in the first place. The "MazdaSpeed" stitching was done sloppy and that made it look cheap. I told her my friends in the RX7 club would just rip me a new one every time they looked at that so she let me off the hook and gave me a chrome MazdaSpeed license frame for my trouble (nice). I did tell her that I would be interested in that seat if you get some in with out the phony logo. I am too cheap to spend 1,200 to replace good R1 seats but won't mind what comes close to trading across for some comfortable no name racing seats with shoulder supports. So if you out there in the forum decide to get a set please let me know how they fit.

But like you said if the seats are comfortable them hey more power to ya, and they are a great price.

They look a lot like the DAD seats...
I bought them because my big *** was not a good fit in the stock R-1 seats for long drives. I got them to fit by hacking up the stock rails, and making a metal plate to attach them to the seats. With a little adjustment they fit OK, just barely touch the door at the shoulder support when all the way back. I bet with some more time I could get no touching, but they work fine as it is now. These seats look almost identical to the DAD's (but I like the stitching on the DAD's better) but are a different material. They go for identical prices on eBay, and there is a manufacturer quoting ~800 for them, so I'm guessing they are the same.
