Do they make a Scoot Knock off hood w/o center air duct?

-for an FD incase of any confusion-

I cant run a OG scoot hood because the throttle body and charge piping will not clear the center intake duct. Soo does anyone make a copy that has the side louveres, but not the center air duct?
I -could- buy a fiberglass one and patch the center, but i might have troubles sleeping at night. cutting up a $800 brand new hood and adding a couple hundred more in glass/paint/materials is something i would do, but i thought i would ask first...

No one does, I also have looked for this , you would have to patch one. Could just buy a cheap chaser aero one and try it out. I've heard a few people have purchased their newer hoods and had decent fitment out of the box.

I want the opposite, the hood without the vents but with the viperish scoop in the front. Anyone know if there is something like that?

You could do that to your OEM hood, they sell drop in ducts. Just cut the hole according and epoxy the duct in. Super simple

Am I the only one who thinks the Scoot hood is one of the most hideous ones known to man?

Nah, I'm with ya. I think they look hideous. But on these two cars the Scoot hood just sets it off and makes it look mean as hell.

Yes, they do make a hood. It's called the Amemiya AD-9.

I've seen plenty of FD's with those mirrors. Mostly cars in Jpan though.

Depends on the rest of the car. I wouldn't put it on mine for instance, but if you've got a lot of other business going on, it does look very aggressive.

this is true. The scoot hood on a stockish FD, is gross, but with the correctly complimented front bumper/splitter/ETC it looks quite appealing. plus its functional, i need to get hot air from my foward mounted turbo headers out of that engine bay.
