DIY Tint
if your talking rear window, get it done by a place with a warranty, it is hard to remove with out removing the defogger strips if you mess up. the side windows are not hard to do, just use a "tint on" solution or 3 drops of baby shampoo in 2qt. of water and work from the in side out with a small rubber squeegee.
edit: DO NOT GET CHEAP CRAP. aka wal-mart. I got the "limo dark" 5% and it has faded to nothing. it is as light as my untented windsheld.

If you do it yourself, just be sure and get high quality film. DO NOT get the cheapo Wal-Mart stuff, as nillahcaz
has already pointed out. Use something like 3M brand, yeah it is expensive but worth it. There is nothing more ghetto or shitty looking than to see a car that has the tint faded to a purple-looking ****.......
Side windows are not hard to do at all, the back glass is the bitch, especially when there is a lot of curve like the FD has.
Check your local phone book for coupons. Often you can get a complete tint job with high quality film for under $100 for a 3 window job, using a coupon for an auto glass tinting store.
