Distroying interior piece by peice...NOOO!

I was wondering, is my RX the only one that has the worlds most fragile interior?, when i got the car, the interior was mint (aside from the dash being warped a bit from the sun) and now, the center consol is distroyed (battery slid into it and shattered it) and the big plastic peice that surrounds the radio and climate controls and such is cracked, and, the two little triangle vents in the corner of the dash, for the air are cracked... what gives? anyone know a good site for interior pieces? and, do you guys use any sort of special tools when removing parts of the interior? im scared to use a flat head bc it might break it again. doh!

you're not the only one. pretty much anything that's plastic is broken in my car. i've used a hot glue gun to glue my center vents together. i never use them anyway. buy from a wrecker will only yeild the same results. www.mazdatrix.com carries brand new interior pieces. but if you're looking to save a buck, you might get lucky and find the pieces on ebay.

The only plastic broken in my 3/92 R1 is part of two non-visable attaching stubs for the center console.

I have replaced the following on my 93:

Windshield defroster vents......(the center piece twice!)
Driver door storage bin .......(twice when the fliptop cracked)
Driver & Passenger door ....the little bucket like plastic where the door handle is.
Passenger door grab bar

I have installed the Aluminum Dash Overlay Kit to hide all of the scratches.

Yes most all the interior parts of a 93 are VERY FRAGILE, the 94+ interiors were improved and upgraded to just Fragile,
new replacment parts from your MAZDA dealer (or MAZDATRIX) will be of the improved 94+ quality
