hi, i just noticed the listing here. listed a lot on your other post about the 6.5's in the door. so you decided to go with subs. that's a good idea. have you checked circuit city for custom applications to your car? if they have anything, it will probably be really expensive but it might give you some ideas. if no one here has any ideas, then check it out. i'm really not familiar with the verts so i don't have anything for you. sorry.

I've owned 2 RX-7 Convertibles now (I wrecked my first one), and have gone through three subwoofer boxes between them.
The first one I tried required me to banish the spare tire to the trunk. I hacksawed the spare tire support out and layed out a pickup-style truck box flat where the spare tire used to be. I do not recommend this, the sub was much to close to the spare tire cover and rattled like crazy.
After wrecking that car.. I was able to start fresh with a new RX-7 convertible.
The first try this time was a little different.. I built a ported box that held two 6.75-inch subs stacked vertically between the seats. It was pretty cool looking and sounded great, but it would of required some extensive modification to the spare-tire cover in order to be permanent, and plus all the bass was in my right ear.
The final solution is working great. I got my inspiration from: http://www.v8rx7.com/sound.htm
I only used a single 10" woofer, and didn't use any fiberglass. Instead I just sealed off all the holes in the deep well, then sealed MDF right to the metal. (I put a layer of dynamat over the metal also.) The spare tire still fits, along with two aftermarket amplifiers, and plus I even kept my headrest speaker amplifier. (I did have to relocate it to make room for the enclosure.) I have some pics of the construction process, I'll try to post them this weekend.
