As we were striping out another RHD FD. I notice this FD has a different climate control than ours. I was hoping to put these on my LHD climate control. But the wiring are different. Below are pics.

 

interesting! seems that a lot of early 90's japanese cars had climate controls that were different - when we got my friends sr20 front clip the climate control in that was all digital, compared to the US 240sx that is very standard and boring

Pretty cool! Looks like a full-on climate control where you set the temp and it adjusts the air mix and fan speed for you.

Dunno about for the FD, but on the 240SX I helped a buddy try and figure out how to get a digital climate control going. VERY tricky. There's a zillion sensors on the Nissan system - outside air temp, light sensor, cabin air temp, you name it. Dunno how fancy the FD system is - if you have the whole car, it's possible to track down the whole system and figure it out.

this is from the touring X 98 spec in japan. it was released along with RS and RZ as special editions in 98 before the refresh in 99. i think they might have also used it as the touring option in the UK.
