Did a battery relocation this morning.

Figured i'd show it off. I like the way it turned out. Went to take the original battery out and the post broke off as you can tell by the pic. So i went ahead and relocated the battery and swapped to an Optima. Hand is in the pic for size reference. Its a lawn mower battery quite literally. Car fires up like a beast with the optima and its been sitting for months lol.

No circuit breaker? Best part of my relocation kit is being able to turn off power with the press of a button if I'm working on electrical items. =)

Nice job!

I thought about that after i installed it, but with the original battery breaking on me i did it like this for now. I'll probably end up putting it on a breaker and in a different box at some point so its track safe.

I'll be putting an amp in the car at some point, was thinking of putting it beside the battery and enclosing the whole section under the strut brace in a nice looking mdf box of some sort. Anybody know if that would make it track legal since it technically is enclosed?

If you bolt it to the inside of the box you should be fine imho. I'd suggest the Stinger 150AM circuit breaker...it is like $30 on Ebay.

well this box is currently bolted with grade 8 bolts through the floor board and nutted on the underside. Im pretty sure you will rip the sheet metal before you get the battery out.

+1
I got mine on Amazon for about $25 shipped and mounted it in the rear bin with the battery.

It's really handy to simply press a button to cut power when working on something electrical
