why are we voting? They have already released the amber gauges at the beginning of last month.

red

I think red would match a bit better. But then again, I'm at work, and these computers here don't have great video cards.

Are you sure they released amber and not red? Where can I find it? As far as riciness, I was referring to the blue color vs. our stock gauge color.

Sweet... I just voted for Amber. Too bad blue was the only color when I bought my gauge. I'm ok with red but amber would be sweet.

Does anyone know if the boost gauge is electric or is it still mechanical?

Thanks. How do you have this gauge mounted? I have an RE-Amemiya pod that I've been saving for a gauge that fits inside of it properly. Hopefully this gauge fits inside of it. Is your boost gauge pretty slim depth-wise? The RE pod require shallow gauges. Thanks

I would like to see if red is better than amber. Can you post a pic? Did they use red LEDs or white LEDs with a red cover? Red LEDs are a deep and pure red color. Amber LEDs are made from a similar die to the red LEDs. They wanted to hit yellow, but amber was as close as the LED mfrs could get (with high brightness).

i have mine mounted in a dual gauge autometer a-pillar. they fit well. i was gonna do the same as you with the RE-Amemiya pod but opted for a-pillar mount as i got a boost and temp gauge. you can find the dimmensions on this page http://www.nippon-seiki.co.jp/defish...g/rg_spec.html

coneklr, no pics yet. will try and remember to get some up soon. i'd say the led is red as the lettering is white. although it may have a red film behind like the stock gauges

the dash is actually a brighter then shown in the pic and closer to the gauges but as you can see its a close match. the old defi gauges these ones preceded would actually suit better as the lettering is white by day like the stock dash but yeh i'm real happy with these

not bad. I was also wondering how easy it is to take this gauge apart since it is not mechanical. Do you still need to use a can opener-like device?
