DEFI BF - safe to use provided mounting clips?

Hey all,

Just received my Defi BF (red) gauges the other day. I'm debating if I should look into the popular center tri-pod holder from FlyinRX7 or use the provided mounting parts that came with the gauges. Is it safe if I opt for the provided mounting parts taking into account that the gauges will not be covered/protected by a gauge/pod housing...it'll be exposed to the sun as well. Anyone's input or pictures of mounting would be appreciated. Thanks!

Go with the tri-pod.The provided parts are fugly. The cables will be visible, and the sticky tape will make a mess to the dashboard during hot summer days.Trust me on that,i 've been there, and i know.Oh,how is the color match with the stock dash?

Hey,

Thanks for input. I'm on the reserve list for the Tri-Pods, never got a response other than I was put on the list. Anyhow, gauges not installed but I've seen pics of these red Defi BF gauges on a FD before I bought them..they look "evil" as I would call it since all gauges (including the factory cluster) are red at night. During the day, the Defi BF gauges are still red while stock cluster is white but still looks awesome all together.
