Deck issue. Wont turn off.

so i just installed a pioneer deck and it wont turn on unless i have the power and memory touching. and when they are both touching i cant get the deck to turn off even when car is off. can someone help me pleaaaaase

....touching what? 12v power?

Here's how it goes: the memory wire goes to a constant 12v source (never shuts off). The point of this being that you never lose your settings. Power wire goes to a switched source (12v when you have key to accessories). A quick look at the FAQ (you have an FC, right?) says this wire exists in the factory harness as a LtBlue/Yellow wire.

i mean splice all 4 wires together. ( 2 red and 2 yellow), thats the only way itll turn on. but after a couple of weeks like that and my battery fully drained. shouldnt it be as easy as matching up the wires when you have a wire harness? when i match up all of the colors it doesnt work for me.

On Pioneer the color code is Red = +12v ignition, Yellow = +12v battery, Black = ground. Check the wires from your harness with a voltmeter to make sure they are supplying the proper signal. You might have a bad deck.
