has anyone put a single din dvd player (pop out screen) in the lower din slot? i would like pics if possible. screen open and closed.
i would like to do this because i want a screen that will clear my shift **** (double din is out) but not stick up in front of the vents (i dont want to damage the screen with heat or block air flow).
my next question is how do u remove the little cubby hole thing that is currently in the bottom opening

 

I never thought the air from the AC would damage the screen but I guess its possible that the LCD would be effected by it, they can be pretty sensitive. Thanks for the info.

If you really want to do this though (I do to), you should probably just modify the panels to put the dins up top and the AC controls lower. Its going to be hard to watch a movie otherwise since the din is pointing towards the driver and is located to low to really be in view for anyone right?
