Question Dampening Material?

Does anyone knows if the dampening material is worth putting in the car? I was thinking of using Dynamat, Rockford Fosgate, or some type of company that helps reduce the dB and rattling in my car. Any information on this type of material will be extremely helpful to me, because I have no clue about this topic.
Thanks,

Unhappy

My main concern is to lower the decibel noise in my car. It's extremely loud and when I get my engine street ported it's going to get worse.
