Christ Jim, your vendor/technical assistance sagas are unbelievable. I'm surprised that he wouldn't be able to replicate the work fairly easily... I know that in my case, once i've done it all once, even if I lose it, it remakes in half the time.

My headlight kit is (apparently) officially dead. I just found out this week that the person doing the CAD work on my kit was laid off several months ago and was not allowed to take any of the files that he was working on. He may get them back after they've been reviewed and been determined not to be company property, or he may not. At this point, things don't look good.

I'll quote Adam Sandler in The Wedding Singer... "Once again, things that could have been brought to my attention YESTERDAY!"

We'll see if we can salvage the work, since he has some files at home.

Tell me about it.

We were going for a *very* precise fit with the car and the hoodline, so he had maps of both stock covers that he made at work with a 3D scanner. Duplicating that wouldn't be that easy, but luckily it looks like he sent some of the files to me to view during the process, and that should help.

The look we're going for is much like the C6-R...

When I checked into it a few years ago, they were a one-off and they had no intention of producing more. However, that may have changed and Ramy would probably be able to find out.
