Ahhh I got ya- like a panasonic tough book?

Some people remove the LCD and place it in the dash with the rest of the computer hidden.

However those tough books are just SOOO much more then its worth IMO.

Why a laptop?

My casetronics EPIA M10000 works great. My Lilliput 7" XGA touchscreen is awesome as well.

I have had a few hard drivng events with my car, all while having "We were soldiers" playing. No hiccups or anything.

I like my setup, and it works great.

Cpu operating temperature is good to 130F- harddrives and ram are also good to about this point. The powersupply is the only thing you need to keep cool. If you do a in car PC- I highly suggest you rig up a fresh air (even fresh cabin air) fan that can cool the system a bit.

Guys computers are tough- you just cant let them get extremly hot. (140F+ will kill parts)
