Colored Carbon fiber hoods

well I live close to stillen and went to there g35/350z day (friend has a g35) and noticed a lot of colored carbon fiber hoods. I ran a search for a blue carbon fiber hood but link is gone. is there a colored carbon hood for fd's. every where I search I see em for 350's and g35. I'm not a fan of regular carbon fiber just cause it seems to clash with paint but looking at the colored ones makes it a little more suttle. Thanks

You could have it made since originally when i was going to get my AD9 RE-Amemiya hood, i was going to bring them the materials to make mine in blue and it was no problem. So Im sure any company you want can make the hood with that material, IF they actually make them and dont just import them.

Another option would be to get a regular carbon fiber hood and just paint it. They make paints that are translucent and that way, you could have any color you wanted.

I' would think about painting it but I have yet to see a good painted vented hood. it always seems bad around the edges and the vents

you know the only reason its colored is because they add tint into the resin when they mold it? Its like $3 color additive to more $100 off you.

I cant remember exactly when this issue came out, but there was an issue of import tuner that featured courtney day's 240 with s15 conversion. She had a carbon hood and i think it had something about "glazing" the hood. It looked great as i remember.

Anyone ever heard of anything like that, or am I talking out of my ***?

Maybe on some cheese hoods, but like the Carbon/Kevlar hoods mentioned above, they are colored Kevlars with black or silver Carbon
