I think the official name is silverstone metallic but Im not sure its a guess. If memory serves me correctly. I also like titanium. If you want a totally unique silver though go to Porsche and ask to buy there 40th anniversary 911 silver its the only silver like it in the world gorgeous from what the pictures make it out to be. Oh and they are only putting it on 163 911's so very very rare.

but seriously, silver is nice... there are LOTS of silver shades.... look around till you find a unique one that you like.... also there are a lot of VERY nice looking blues and metallic blues that would look good on FD's.... it's your pick, you will know when you come across the perfect color.

I'm still thinking that multi step green or burnt orange semi metallic paint over a silver or gold base coat (if done right) would look sharp. I mean, how many green or orange FD's have you seen? How many Titanium and IBM have you seen?
Hell, just paint it black, it's still my favorite.

As a professional automotive painter may i just comment that in order to pick the colour for your car, you cant talk about it, youve gotta get a thick wad of paint chips outside in the sun light with your car and start thinking-maybe you wanna do a real bad *** flame job, or two tone - also any colour put on any vechicle can be matched, you dont have to get a porsche silver from a porsche dealer, its all the same ****, just a different pile
